Quality Control Inspector

Job Responsibilities

• Verify unit or product is manufactured per EAS standards and project specifications
• Performs equipment verification per approved submittal
• Verifies all product tests have been properly executed
• Verifies test reports have been properly and accurately completed
• Audits units and ensures quality checks, records, and travelers are completed
• Conducts inspections of all units / assemblies
• Collaborates with project manager on format, documentation for factory customer visits
• Creates videos of non-witnessed testing and maintenance protocols if necessary
• Performs or assists with vibration analysis and dynamic trim balancing on fans
• Conducts welding inspections throughout production
• Reviews pipe installation according to P&ID
• Coordinates with Production Design SPOC on identified issues from production supervisors and required redlines
• Performs other Manager identified activities

Education/Experience

• This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma
• An associate degree in a quality- or manufacturing- related field is a plus
• This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in this industry or related industry
• Experience with quality assurance / quality control is desirable

Minimum Qualifications/Special Skills

• Good documentation and communication (written and oral) skills
• Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, BlueBeam Revu, Gmail, Cloud-based server use)
• An advanced understanding of product design and operation
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, coaching, and problem solving
• Willingness to accept every challenge to meet product specifications and client requirements
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, and functions
• Skilled in plant safety and construction requirements
