Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel
• Maintain welder certification testing per the requirements of AWS D1.1
• Administer and evaluate weld tests
• Read and interpret fabrication shop drawings
• Review and update company control processes, procedures, and specifications
• Perform testing of structural bolts per RCSC
• Coordinate and work with outside customer inspectors to perform NDT inspections
• Maintain company Quality Assurance Manual to meet AISC accreditation standards
• Perform additional quality related projects and completes all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Highly organized, thorough, and detail-oriented with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate with personnel at all organizational levels

Qualifications

• Holds a current certificate as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with D1.1 certification
• 5+ years of relative experience with structural steel welding inspections
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Familiar with Bluebeam Revu
• Familiar with Tekla (Fabsuite)
