Quality Control Inspector - 2nd shift

What You’ll Be Doing
- Confirm the quality of Sarstedt's products via visual, dimensional and functional testing.
- Collect and visually inspect random samples from various machines and assembly operations.
- Measure samples using calipers, indicator gages, and go/no go gages.
- Effectively utilize centrifuges, desiccators, and contact angle measuring devices for functional testing of products.
- Stay organized and efficient in documenting all inspections, measurements, and functional testing.
- Document and communicate product defects to the Quality Control Leadperson and appropriate production staff.
- Isolate and weigh defective product.
- Record and manage scrap.
- Maintain a safe and orderly workspace through daily upkeep.
- Follow safety guidelines and report any concerns immediately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; and three to six months related quality control experience and/or training.
- Reliability, dependability, and a hands-on mindset.
- Attention to detail, especially when handling product accuracy and documentation.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in various environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday/some Saturdays).
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs. (regularly) and 50+ lbs. (occasionally).
- Adaptable and safety-conscious, with the ability to work at heights using proper equipment when needed.
