Responsibilities
- Perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Verify compliance with specifications
- Review documentation
- Support quality assurance efforts
- Read and understand project/job documents for precise specifications
- Communicate Quality issues and concerns with the Quality Control Manager
- Coach and mentor personnel on quality procedures and best practices
- Provide technical support to customers, project managers, engineering, manufacturing, and others as needed
- Identify and implement manufacturing and design improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience in a metal manufacturing environment
- Preference given to those certified as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) by the American Welding Society and a valid NACE Paint Inspector Certification (or equivalent)
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as well as inspecting with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Proficient in the aspects of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Welding Society (AWS) Codes, and ISO 9001-2015
Qualifications
- Ability and desire to obtain additional Inspector Certifications as needed and required
- High-level of professionalism, integrity, and positive demeanor
- Pass an annual visual acuity exam to include color differential perception
