Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process
• Verify compliance with specifications
• Review documentation
• Support quality assurance efforts
• Read and understand project/job documents for precise specifications
• Communicate Quality issues and concerns with the Quality Control Manager
• Coach and mentor personnel on quality procedures and best practices
• Provide technical support to customers, project managers, engineering, manufacturing, and others as needed
• Identify and implement manufacturing and design improvements

Requirements

• 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience in a metal manufacturing environment
• Preference given to those certified as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) by the American Welding Society and a valid NACE Paint Inspector Certification (or equivalent)
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as well as inspecting with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
• Proficient in the aspects of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Welding Society (AWS) Codes, and ISO 9001-2015

Qualifications

• Ability and desire to obtain additional Inspector Certifications as needed and required
• High-level of professionalism, integrity, and positive demeanor
• Pass an annual visual acuity exam to include color differential perception
