About the Role

In a team-oriented environment, perform all tasks in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, Final Phase, Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection duties across Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop operations using engineering drawings, work instructions, route cards, technical specifications, QA procedures, and other related documents.
  • Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections on aircraft structures, interiors, components, and systems within assigned shop areas.
  • Verify functional operations, ensure FOD compliance, and validate all required documentation.
  • Perform conformity and first article inspections in accordance with FAA-approved procedures.
  • Witness, verify, and document key manufacturing process steps across multiple production disciplines.
  • Ensure proper use, control, and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Support safety initiatives by identifying hazards, participating in investigations, and promoting risk reduction.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and assist with area inspections for compliance in Structures, Wings, Composites, and Woodshop.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across multiple production areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
  • Completion of formal inspection training program within 90 days.
  • Working knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading (CATIA experience helpful).
  • Ability to use basic shop tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Willingness to work a rotating night shift.
  • Availability to work 6–8 hours of overtime per week, as needed.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces as required (if in Structures). No requirement to work in confined spaces if in Woodshop or Composites.
