Responsibilities

• Directly monitor, inspect, and audit the process and product for compliance to specifications.
• Assure integrity of process control systems and detect trends in product quality where applicable.
• Perform complete inspection of product prior to release according to applicable specifications.
• Apply appropriate statistical sampling plans and perform various testing procedures.
• Stat sample or contain all hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements.
• Record results of inspections and audit findings on appropriate forms and/or in the Quality Module of SAP.
• Report all product non-conformance issues to Quality and Production Management where appropriate.
• Maintain adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality system standards.
• Perform all other miscellaneous duties as appropriately directed by Quality Management or designate.
• Follow all site required safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (if hired after June 1, 2000; internal transfers exempted).
• 6 months of QA experience or exposure.

Skills

• Ability to navigate a computer in a Windows-based environment.
• Use of measurement devices such as Calipers, Go/No-Go Gauges, Optical Comparators, Digital Force gauges, and rules.
• An assessment will be applied to gauge proficiency of some of the above requirements.

Pay and schedule

• Pay rate: $16.50/hour plus $1.50 shift differential.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7pm to 7am, on a 3-days-on, 2-days-off, 2-days-on, 3-days-off rotation, including weekends.

• Eye exam is required.
• Background check is required; candidate can start once criminal background checks have cleared.
