Quality Control Engineer - Plattsburgh, NY

Located in Plattsburgh, NY, this direct‑hire position offers the chance to kick‑start an engineering career in a high‑growth industry that blends engineering, paper, packaging, food safety and manufacturing innovation. You will work toward becoming a future Quality Manager while supporting SQF and food safety programs, driving process improvements, and troubleshooting with operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and strengthen SQF and food safety programs
• Lead quality and process improvements that directly impact production
• Troubleshoot with operations and apply engineering problem‑solving
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
• Build a strong food safety culture through training and communication

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Packaging
• Internship to 3 years of experience in packaging, paper, food or manufacturing quality
• HACCP Certification required or ability to obtain quickly
• Comfortable using meters, gauges and basic testing tools
• Clear communicator with strong analytical and RCA skills
• Bonus: JD Edwards, Quality Windows or ParcView experience
