About the role

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, equipment, and services comply with quality standards and specifications required for safe and efficient operations. The QC Engineer will oversee quality control processes across various stages of the project lifecycle, from procurement and fabrication to offshore installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality control processes across various stages of the project lifecycle, from procurement and fabrication to offshore installation and commissioning.
  • Care for maintenance of change control, cost reports, etc.
  • Cook up and assemble the monthly progress reports.
  • Make sure all engineering and construction activities meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Study and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to ensure they align with contract requirements.
  • Create and execute quality control procedures, inspection checklists, and test plans.
  • Manage the documentation of inspection and test reports and other quality-related documentation.
  • Affirm compliance with local and international quality standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Prepare detailed quality control reports, including findings, actions, and recommendations for management review.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, tests, certifications, and compliance checks.

Requirements

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience of 5+ years in the offshore oil & gas industry.
  • Advanced level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls.
  • Advanced experience in MS Office: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced experience with SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls.
