About the Role

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for verifying incoming materials and finished products meet internal and customer specifications. This role provides oversight and technical support for plant processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming and finished product conformance to internal company standards and customer specifications per company procedures, including:
    • Verification of Food Safety and Quality processes (SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs)
    • Sanitation Verification (Allergen & ATP)
    • Weight Verification
    • Foreign Material Control (Metal Detection/Glass & Brittle Plastics)
    • Label Verification
    • Hold implementation
  • Provide pest control support
  • Monitor processes and temperatures
  • Support regulatory, certification, and customer audits
  • Collect samples (Lab testing, retention samples)
  • Understand business needs and support organizational initiatives
  • Operate analytical testing equipment and data management software
  • Ensure legible and complete documentation
  • Translate technical documents
  • Balance operational needs with customer expectations

Work Environment

This position operates in a plant/warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with documenting data and performing analytical calculations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food plant operations experience
  • Educational experience in analytical, chemical, biological, or food sciences
