About the role

Sanmina is currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, hard-working, and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Final Audit Inspection team. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and inspecting the quality of electronic equipment, including visual mechanical, solder workmanship, and documentation accuracy. The role involves working closely with production teams to identify and address quality issues, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate documentation of inspection results.

This is an ITAR facility and the applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Quality Control inspection of new, repaired, and finished products prior to shipment
  • Conduct quality checks and tests on products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor processes and operating systems for the production and repair of customer products
  • Support customer data and special reporting requests such as first articles and certificates of compliance
  • Perform periodic audits of the production operation in compliance with ISO and TL requirements
  • Support product and process improvements to meet quality and operational performance goals
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Identify and report any non-conformances or defects in products
  • Communicate and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders on quality issues and improvement opportunities
  • Ability to sit, stand, and bend for long periods of time
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality control or inspection role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances
  • Soldering experience or certification is desired
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 8D Problem Solving, and 5S preferred
  • Proficiency with computer software programs (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
  • Experience using hand tools, measurement tools, and equipment – knowledge of torque requirements
