About the role

The Quality Admin supports the Quality Control Department by handling documentation, data entry, record-keeping, and reporting tasks that ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. This role is key in maintaining accuracy in quality records and providing administrative support to the quality control team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize quality documentation, records, and databases.
  • Prepare, review, and file inspection reports, certifications, and compliance forms.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by compiling necessary records and ensuring accessibility of documentation.
  • Perform accurate data entry for quality-related metrics, inspection results, and corrective action logs.
  • Generate and distribute reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
  • Report any known quality problems to the Quality Control Manager.
  • Follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Perform any other task/activity assigned by the Quality Control Manager within the scope of Company business.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Previous use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel are required.
  • Previous use of Oracle, Lotus Notes, or similar are preferred.
  • High degree of organization and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer, phone, and logistics systems.
  • Occasional standing and walking to interact with colleagues, suppliers, or while moving through office and manufacturing areas.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, or move boxes, documents, or materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus when reviewing shipment documentation, system data, and customs paperwork.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly for phone conversations, video calls, and in-person collaboration.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or stooping may be required to access files, supplies, or materials.
  • Ability to travel periodically to supplier sites or carrier facilities as needed.
  • Ability to work in both office and production environments may involve moderate noise levels, temperature variation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Pay

Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience.
