Quality Conformance Manager II
About the role
Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Quality Conformance Manager II to join our team based in Mobile, AL. This role supports quality on-time and on-cost delivery by ensuring processes meet regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Administer the ongoing development of the Quality Management System.
Investigate specific quality issues arising from system failures or design deficiencies to reduce costs and foster continuous improvement.
Support quality by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Resolve complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting measurement standards and improvements to increase process performance, reliability, and repeatability.
Generate key performance indicator reports to measure quality performance and communicate to management team.
Develop dashboards and visual management tools to identify deficiencies in the quality system.
Create statistical data for non-conformities, key performance indicators, and other quality metrics to identify trends.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Implement and monitor control plans, inspection plans, industrial qualification, calibration, and metrology monitoring to ensure quality standards are achieved.
Monitor the qualification of new personnel through predefined requirements process.
Introduce and qualify new tools and jigs into the process flow.
Perform operational surveillance to monitor compliance to regulatory and company standard requirements.
Participate in periodic meetings with quality, supporting departments, and design office personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technology, aviation, engineering, business, manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in aviation quality, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, data analytics, business administration, manufacturing, maintenance-related field.
Good knowledge of non-conformance management and root cause analysis methods.
Strong practical problem-solving skills (demonstrable).
Understanding of lean principles and kaizen approach to manufacturing.
Customer service-oriented and attention to detail.
Active listening skills necessary to the success of teamwork.
Proactive with the ability to meet deadlines.
High degree of professionalism, judgment, and integrity.
Knowledge of quality management system for aircraft design and manufacturing.
Knowledge of aircraft mechanical & electrical installation.
Ability to quickly understand procedural and technical documents.
Demonstration of cultural awareness and conflict resolution needed for success in a global company.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written in English.
