About the role

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Quality Conformance Manager II to join our team based in Mobile, AL. This role supports quality on-time and on-cost delivery by ensuring processes meet regulatory, company, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the ongoing development of the Quality Management System.

  • Investigate specific quality issues arising from system failures or design deficiencies to reduce costs and foster continuous improvement.

  • Support quality by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction.

  • Resolve complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting measurement standards and improvements to increase process performance, reliability, and repeatability.

  • Generate key performance indicator reports to measure quality performance and communicate to management team.

  • Develop dashboards and visual management tools to identify deficiencies in the quality system.

  • Create statistical data for non-conformities, key performance indicators, and other quality metrics to identify trends.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

  • Implement and monitor control plans, inspection plans, industrial qualification, calibration, and metrology monitoring to ensure quality standards are achieved.

  • Monitor the qualification of new personnel through predefined requirements process.

  • Introduce and qualify new tools and jigs into the process flow.

  • Perform operational surveillance to monitor compliance to regulatory and company standard requirements.

  • Participate in periodic meetings with quality, supporting departments, and design office personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, aviation, engineering, business, manufacturing, or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of experience in aviation quality, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, data analytics, business administration, manufacturing, maintenance-related field.

  • Good knowledge of non-conformance management and root cause analysis methods.

  • Strong practical problem-solving skills (demonstrable).

  • Understanding of lean principles and kaizen approach to manufacturing.

  • Customer service-oriented and attention to detail.

  • Active listening skills necessary to the success of teamwork.

  • Proactive with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, and integrity.

  • Knowledge of quality management system for aircraft design and manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical & electrical installation.

  • Ability to quickly understand procedural and technical documents.

  • Demonstration of cultural awareness and conflict resolution needed for success in a global company.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written in English.
