Quality & Compliance Specialist

About the role

This position involves reviewing and correcting customs entries for accuracy, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and maintaining customs compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Timely review and corrections (if needed) to entries submitted to US Customs/Government Agencies for goods entry
• Provide impeccable customer service
• Support other workgroups such as entry processing and cage functions
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from various sources
• Solicit and maintain customs compliance documentation with customers
• Handle confidential and sensitive information
• Work closely with internal staff, departments, and customers to deliver high-level service
• Review customs entries for accuracy and reprocess with corrections if required
• Ensure compliance with customs and other agency requirements and customer requirements
• Review and correct ABI errors and census warnings
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed
• Create referrals to document corrections for education and compliance

Requirements

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of business or customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.
