About the role
As a Quality Automation Engineer III at Frost, you’ll ensure every application is stable and built with integrity, caring, and excellence. You’ll play a key role in designing, creating, and testing applications to maintain high quality and stability across systems. With strong problem-solving skills, you’ll optimize application performance and uphold Frost’s standards in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, design, review, build, and deploy test automation solutions and frameworks for complex, interrelated systems to ensure software quality and stability.
- Lead troubleshooting and triage of escalated system issues, identifying root causes, resolving them, and implementing process improvements.
- Guide and mentor other Test Automation Engineers to align their solutions and scripts with Frost’s automation framework and industry standards.
- Collaborate with product management, project management, development teams, and business stakeholders to define project, product, and testing objectives.
- Write and execute functional test cases as needed.
- Apply Frost’s values of Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of test automation experience.
- Technical development experience with multiple programming or scripting languages using Selenium as a framework.
- Expertise with JAVA and SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts.
- Ability to independently identify technical issues, including misconfigurations and code defects.
- Demonstrated experience developing functional, load, and batch test automation solutions.
- Expert knowledge of the role of Test Automation and Software Quality Assurance in the development process.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns.
- Experience with a distributed version-control management system like GIT.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience using automated testing tools like Playwright, Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, JMeter, or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins and Maven.
- Knowledge of Non-Functional Testing (Performance, Security, and Accessibility Testing).
