Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure that product is being made according to specifications by measuring and testing raw and finished products utilizing basic laboratory equipment.
- Place non-conforming products on hold for further inspection and disposition as needed.
- Check various measurements in accordance with SQF requirements and standards.
- Perform visual inspections and ATP swabs on equipment post sanitation.
- Perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits and monitor adherence to GMPs while on the production floor.
- Effectively communicate any issues to appropriate personnel (Packers, production, maintenance, etc.).
- Complete accurate QA documentation using electronic record keeping programs (ERP) and electronic inventory management (EIM) systems.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills.
- Calculator and computer proficiency.
- English language proficiency.
- Self-directed.
- Ability to work well with peers and supervisors.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented, have good organizational skills, able to follow directions and be able to work independently.
- Minimum 1-year previous food safety and quality assurance experience (Preferred).
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment can be high.
- Employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment.
- This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.
