Quality Assurance Technician- Morning Shift

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure that product is being made according to specifications by measuring and testing raw and finished products utilizing basic laboratory equipment.
• Place non-conforming products on hold for further inspection and disposition as needed.
• Check various measurements in accordance with SQF requirements and standards.
• Perform visual inspections and ATP swabs on equipment post sanitation.
• Perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits and monitor adherence to GMPs while on the production floor.
• Effectively communicate any issues to appropriate personnel (Packers, production, maintenance, etc.).
• Complete accurate QA documentation using electronic record keeping programs (ERP) and electronic inventory management (EIM) systems.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Calculator and computer proficiency.
• English language proficiency.
• Self-directed.
• Ability to work well with peers and supervisors.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented, have good organizational skills, able to follow directions and be able to work independently.
• Minimum 1-year previous food safety and quality assurance experience (Preferred).

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment can be high.
• Employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment.
• This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.
