Quality Assurance Technician I

Join Mennel Milling, a company with a legacy since 1886, in supporting our food safety and quality programs. As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you’ll conduct routine testing, maintain compliance with food safety standards, and help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality testing, sample analysis, and reporting for internal and external customers.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot testing equipment, maintain calibration records, and complete monthly intra-laboratory check samples.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, OSHA, GFSI, FSMA, and sanitation requirements while maintaining an audit-ready work environment.
• Communicate quality or food safety concerns.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cereal Science, or a related field preferred.
• Previous laboratory, food manufacturing, quality assurance, or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to accurately document and report results.

Location: Roanoke, VA. Full-time position with work shift as assigned and overtime as required.
