Quality Assurance Technician (at Gelest)
Gelest, Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to contribute to our mission of delivering innovative specialty chemical solutions to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain ISO compliance for certification, interpret standards, and apply them to the quality system.
- Assist in the development and execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Perform statistical and mathematical data collection related to continuous improvement projects.
- Support ERP maintenance.
- Assist in the investigation of out-of-specification batches.
- Write Quality Documents and support testing related to customer feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering discipline preferred.
- Training in Quality Management, Production processes, data collection, and/or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, organize, and implement work activities.
- Ability to write reports, conduct audits, and author material safety data sheets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Follow safety procedures and set an appropriate example for others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, or related software.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Pass respirator fit test as required by OSHA.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position. Successful candidates should expect to be onsite 3 days per week, or more as necessary to support the needs of the business.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $24–$34 per hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
