Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

The FSQA Technician position at DG Foods' Hazlehurst, MS facility supports the FSQA department in maintaining proper documentation of products and processes to drive quality policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all HACCP Programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintains GMPs, records deficiencies, and communicates these to management.
• Maintains SSOP programs, records deficiencies, and communicates these to management.
• Records data accurately and legibly.
• Maintains and enforces QA programs, corrects issues, follows up, and communicates to management.
• Makes sure all products follow specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the FSQA Supervisor and/or FSQA Manager.

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Solid understanding of HACCP and prerequisite programs such as SSOP, GMP, etc. is preferred.
• Able to learn and process information in a timely manner.
• Able to communicate, organize, and solve problems effectively.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work in a cooler (sometimes as low as 28 degrees).
• Working knowledge of tablets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a cold and wet environment for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in an office environment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Constantly operates a tablet and other related resources for extended periods of time.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
