Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that every raw material and finished product meets WTI's rigorous quality and food safety standards. Working in our quality laboratory and manufacturing environment, you will help protect the integrity of products used by food manufacturers across North America.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality testing on raw materials and finished products
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure standards are met
• Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
• Follow all food safety and quality protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and quality teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and a "can-do" mindset

Preferred qualifications

• Two or more years of laboratory or quality assurance experience in the food, ingredient, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry

Work environment

• Primarily laboratory-based with routine interaction in manufacturing facility
• Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends
• Standing and walking as needed throughout the facility
• Exposure to food ingredients, powders, and airborne particles
• Close attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping required
