Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

Tuscan Dairy Farms is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform microbiological and chemical testing of finished products, raw materials, and associated items. The role requires adherence to food safety and quality system requirements, including meeting regulatory, customer, and SQF standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all applicable standard operating procedures
• Utilize a continuous improvement mindset
• Aid in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Perform microbiological and chemical testing of finished products, raw materials, and associated items
• Adhere to food safety and quality system requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years related experience required
• Able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Able to flavor milk-based, sugar-based, and caffeine-based products
• Able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally including overhead
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
• Able to work in a wet environment
• May occasionally be exposed to chemicals
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
