Quality Assurance Technician
Responsibilities
- Audits materials, processes, and products at different stages of production to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Ensures operational process/product checks are being completed per the sample plan and verify those results.
- Identifies Quality issues that affect the form, fit, or function of the product and communicate information to the supervisor/foreman in a timely manner.
- Verifications audits to ensure quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- The ability to perform Root Cause investigations and utilize quality tools such as 5 Why, Cause & Effect, 8D, and factor analysis.
- Assist the Quality Manager in facilitation of problem-solving activities for Continuous Improvement opportunities.
- Willingness to train on advanced Quality fundamentals such as problem solving, quality tools, auditing, trend analysis, and Poka-Yoke (error proofing).
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
- One or more years of Quality experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively perform process and product audits and compile results.
- Must be able to successfully perform basic mathematical functions.

Skills
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency with quality assurance software and a strong understanding of ISO standards are also beneficial.
