Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Assurance Supervisor at Seneca Foods’ Montgomery, MN facility plays a crucial role in ensuring all products meet or exceed company standards and comply with food processing regulations. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position oversees the implementation and enforcement of quality, food safety, sanitation, and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, Food Safety Standards, Food Safety issues, Case and Label procedures and Safety programs.
• Supervise employees on the assigned shift.
• Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with regulations and Company policy prior to review by the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Provide employee training for Fill Control, Sanitation, Can Seams, Grading and Statistical Process Control.
• Perform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
• Perform investigations of causes for any spoilage issues.
• Participate in Food Safety audits as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field preferred.
• One to two years of supervisory experience would be beneficial.
• Certified or able to become certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing and Container Closure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food processing and quality assurance principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $65k to $75k per year.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the production line.
