Responsibilities

  • Implement statistical based problem-solving methods using Six Sigma practices, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor process capability thru statistical analysis of lab data and make recommendations for changes to product specifications.
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Supports process and test method validation activities by developing and executing protocols for new or existing processes.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of nonconforming material and ensures that effective root cause analysis is conducted; tracks implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Interfaces with customers and vendors to provide technical support for our products and assures quality of incoming materials.
  • Supports research and development and manufacturing departments to ensure successful transition of products and processes from design to production.
  • Evaluates and introduces new measurement techniques to increase repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Serves as part of the ISO and SQF Audit Teams as well as maintains the Compliance Calendar.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities.
  • Maintains quality metrics and goals of claims vs. sales.
  • Effectively interact with all internal functional job levels and with external agencies and resources in order to maximize the effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
  • Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellence.

Requirements

Strong Quality Assurance background in Manufacturing. Required SQF, ISO, HACCP experience.

Supervisor Duties

  • Direct and oversee the work of Quality Technicians.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
  • Monitor progress and quality of work, and provide feedback and direction to team members.
  • Liaise with other departments, managers, and clients as necessary.
  • Perform regular audits of departments and production lines to ensure they comply with company standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
  • Review employee productivity and performance to ensure they meet clients’ requirements or recommend improvements to meet quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct training sessions for employees on best practices in quality control methods and techniques.

Qualifications
