Quality Assurance Supervisor
About the role
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for partnering with the rest of the organization to consistently supply products that exceed customer and consumer expectations. The QA Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the QA Leads and technicians, supervises the Plant Quality System requirements, reviews activities to ensure conformance to specifications, monitors and guarantees that products are being manufactured in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Practices, provides training and support, enforces the Food Safety Program, investigates and communicates with the QA Manager all departmental and Plant issues, supervises the technicians and ensures they receive proper training in Safety, Food Safety and Quality Systems, reviews and updates work aids essential for verification of product quality, assists in special projects and generates summaries of project performance, communicates effectively with the department, plant, and corporate personnel, takes disciplinary actions and investigates incidents when required, performs QA Manager duties and responsibilities in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of QA Leads and technicians

- Investigate and communicate departmental and Plant issues
- Assist in special projects and generate project performance summaries
- Take disciplinary actions and investigate incidents when required
- Perform QA Manager duties and responsibilities in absence
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemical, Engineering, Microbiology strongly preferred
- 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment required
- Food/Beverage manufacturing experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a Lead in a manufacturing environment required
Qualifications
- Reliable, responsible, with initiative to take the next level
- Committed Quality Systems experience, knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Programs
- Computer literacy, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable
- Knowledge of statistics preferred

$86,000.00 - $88,000.00 plus $3,000.00 Discretionary Bonus
