Quality Assurance - QC Inspector 2nd shift
About the role
The Inspector position at Chromalloy is responsible for validating process adherence on both the component and subsequent paperwork to the work instructions and all relevant specifications. This includes performing tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, generating Certificate of Conformance (C of C) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications. Other responsibilities may include chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Performs dimensional inspection and visual inspection
- Generates Certificate of Conformance (C of C) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications
- Performs tasks such as chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install, and operates CMM
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains high quality standards
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow
- Prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions
- Adequately adheres to all 5S / CPEX policies and maintains a continuous improvement mindset
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong shop mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow instructions, read and interpret blueprints
- Team player with ability to work in a collaborative environment

Schedule
This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
