About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Project Specialist to support ingredient quality and supplier change management activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring ingredient compliance, maintaining robust documentation, and driving cross-functional alignment across the supply chain.
Schedule
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 10 months
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage quality assurance projects related to Nutrition Science.
- Receive and manage supplier change notifications, including tracking status through completion.
- Qualify ingredients in the supply chain to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assess quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct paperwork audits of suppliers and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and production, to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Analyze data and generate reports on quality metrics and project progress.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional assessments of supplier changes to evaluate quality and compliance impact.
- Communicate status, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Support implementation of downstream process changes related to approved supplier notifications.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to ensure traceability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier change notification and quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a regulated food or nutrition industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for ingredient qualification.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with supply chain management and ingredient sourcing.
- Background in food science or related discipline.
