Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, is seeking a QA Lead I at our East River plant in Green Bay, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor procedures including pre-operational sanitation, signing off COAs and pre-shipment review, tares and specifications of products, foot sprayers and sanitizers, and shelf life studies as needed.
  • Prepare cooler for sample shipment.
  • Verify and complete daily HACCP and QA documentation.
  • Account for tools, utensils, and other potentially dangerous equipment distributed on a daily basis.
  • Monitor lines that transfer products, water, oil, and other ingredients for integrity.
  • Encourage teamwork and learning amongst QA personnel.
  • Conduct active Food Security and Defense surveillance inside the facility and its operation.
  • Enforce the wearing of proper PPE specific to job areas.
  • Assist USDA inspectors.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the production area.
  • Communicate and work with customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Conduct ground beef audits.
  • Work with IEH Laboratories.
  • Make product labels.
  • Conduct worker locker inspections.
  • Look up license plate numbers when needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Hours vary based on production needs; extended hours may be required.
  • Must successfully complete training in:
    • Safety
    • Safe Quality Food (SQF)
    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
    • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Food defense

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior quality assurance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
