Quality Assurance Lead

Our client, a leading communications provider, is seeking a QA Lead to own test strategy, execution, and defect management. This is a remote, 6–12-month contract position (W-2 only; third-party firms or C2C arrangements are acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Automate new manual test scripts stored in the Octane test case management tool
• Update and rewrite existing automation scripts to support new functionality or improve resilience against technical execution failures
• Execute automation batches for out-of-cycle testing requests as needed
• Troubleshoot automation failures, performing necessary repairs or refactoring to ensure successful execution
• Clearly communicate progress, risks, and any blockers
• Proactively seek assistance when encountering obstacles

Requirements

• Experience managing both manual and automation testing aspects
• Proficiency with JIRA, Postman, HP ALM, and other testing tools
• Ability to support and triage automation efforts as needed

Pay

The approximate pay range for this position is $105,000 to $110,000. Final compensation may vary based on background, knowledge, skills, and location.
