ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily quality assurance activities on the production floor, ensuring adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform and oversee routine quality testing to verify that all products meet established specifications.
  • Provide guidance and support to QA Technicians, helping prioritize tasks and ensure completion of daily quality checks and documentation.
  • Review, approve, and maintain quality records to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory certifications.
  • Ensure quality documentation is organized and digitized for efficient retrieval and audit readiness.
  • Identify quality deviations and lead initial investigations, implementing real-time corrective actions to protect product integrity.
  • Escalate complex or recurring quality issues to the Quality Management team and assist in root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
  • Manage and verify the disposition of raw materials and finished goods (Hold/Release/Quarantine) in the electronic Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct training for production and operational teams on food safety, cGMP, and quality compliance requirements.
  • Support the development, revision, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure production teams are properly trained.
  • Conduct internal audits aligned with production and sanitation schedules to verify compliance with established programs.
  • Champion and reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout the facility, promoting a culture of food safety and quality.
  • Serve as a point of contact for quality-related questions during production shifts.
  • Register service requests and coordinate timely resolution of operational quality concerns.
  • Communicate emerging quality risks or trends to the Quality Management team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems, food safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate agility and effectiveness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years experience and/or training in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a food/beverage or dietary supplements industry.
