About the Role
The Quality Assurance Furniture Technician position is based in Tracy, CA.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform wood and upholstery repairs including burn-ins, wood raining, and clear finish
- Repair on top surface (larger than ½ inch)
- Color match on top surface
- Proper application of sealers and top coats
- Polishing top coat to vendor specifications
- Cross grain scratches burn-in and rubbed out
- Proper application of finishes using spray gun
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience
- Upholstery and wood repairs including burn-ins
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic
- Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivating individual able to work independently and collaboratively
- Dependable and deadline-oriented with ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent attendance, communication skills, and willingness to be part of a team
- Furniture repair skill assessment testing will be required as part of the interview process
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with painting, wood assembly, wood repair, and/or similar craftsmanship
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work under pressure and fast learner
- Availability to work full-time schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to be part of a team
- Furniture repair skills assessment testing may be required as part of the interview process
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move, lift, or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable walking and standing 90% of the day
