Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Customer / Program, Manufacturing Process, and Supplier Quality Engineering duties.
  • Develop and analyze statistical and product/process performance data to recommend and implement improvements in the Hydromechanical value stream.
  • Provide Quality support with the objective of improving process performance and capability.
  • Execute initiatives in the development, implementation, and improvement of Quality Management Systems, including documentation.
  • Provide advanced quality planning support for new products, processes, and services, as well as continuous improvement of existing product lines.
  • Serve as the Quality interface between the organization and its customers to ensure needs and expectations are understood and satisfied, including contract review, compliance management, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools to support continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
  • Facilitate the investigation and elimination of quality problems and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Participate in all aspects of new product development and launch activities, including customer expectations, design reviews, test programs, inspection requirements, and cost management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Quality, or another related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality role within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace and applicable regulatory authority knowledge/experience desired.
  • Thorough understanding of problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis) and associated statistical tools.
  • Knowledge of new product development and launch systems, including APQP and PPAP processes (e.g., PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Key Characteristics, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability).
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100, ISO-9001, or AS13100, including implementation and certification processes.
  • Ability to prepare and approve First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 and present them to customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Program Quality experience with Prime Engine Suppliers and associated portals is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior Quality Management experience is desired for future growth potential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%.
  • Familiarity with Q-Pulse FAIR, Net-Inspect, MRP/JDE, and Teamcenter.

Pay

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $138,800.00 per year.
