About the role
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work 1 day per week, with an initial duration of 9 months.
Responsibilities
- Apply manual testing principles, including test case design and types of testing (functional, regression, API, performance).
- Write, run, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, MCP, and AI-assisted testing.
- Use developer tools to read error logs, trace issue sources, and provide detailed information to developers (Google DevTools, application logs, HTTP requests/responses, stack traces, heap dumps).
- Utilize test management tools (Zephyr Scale, GitLab) for logging bugs and tracking test progress.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, test data management, and data governance platforms.
- Analyze test requirements and profile existing production data.
- Systematically break down complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop data-driven solutions.
- Execute predefined test cases and perform unscripted exploratory testing.
- Translate high-level business and functional requirements into detailed, efficient, and comprehensive test cases.
- Apply industry-wide quality assurance measures, testing standards, and best practices.
- Identify potential quality risks, assess their impact and likelihood, and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Proactively identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with software engineers, system personnel, and management.
- Debug and solve problems with meticulous attention to detail.
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant quality assurance/automated testing experience; or three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Software Engineer.
- Three years of relevant quality assurance/automated testing experience; or three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Software Engineer.
- Additional work experience in related fields may substitute for the required formal education on a year-for-year basis.
