About the role

The Digital Sector within Leidos' Military Services Solutions Business Area is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the critical AGUN Program, which focuses on modernizing the Army's global network infrastructure through the Unified Network Modernization (UNM) initiative. The role involves serving as an independent quality authority supporting mission assurance activities, program compliance, and continuous process improvements throughout the program lifecycle. The Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate closely with program management, engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of program execution meet contractual, operational, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager in executing compliance plans aligned with Leidos standards and policies.
• Integrate with program teams to implement and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Participate in program governance, staff meetings, and reporting activities, providing status updates on quality, compliance, and risks.
• Support mission assurance activities by participating in quality review gates, deployment readiness, and operational assessments.
• Verify objective evidence supporting milestone decisions, contractual compliance, and customer acceptance criteria.
• Monitor program health through quality metrics, audits, and trend analysis to inform management decisions.
• Lead internal audits, compliance reviews, and performance evaluations to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate risk management activities, documenting and mitigating technical, operational, and programmatic risks.
• Leverage enterprise tools such as dashboards, analytics platforms, and governance systems to enhance reporting and decision-making.
• Measure program performance against contractual requirements, ensuring lifecycle compliance and traceability.
• Conduct data analysis related to SLAs and KPIs, developing executive dashboards and predictive quality reports.
• Identify and track defects, nonconformances, and risks, ensuring proper mitigation and root cause resolution.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma projects, value stream mapping, and automation efforts.
• Facilitate organizational change management to ensure sustained adoption of process improvements.
• Oversee logistics quality activities, including receiving inspections, material readiness verification, and deployment assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 4-8 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-6 years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Current DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Visio, Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience leading internal audits, root cause analysis, and continual improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of requirements traceability, configuration management, and quality verification processes.
• Experience with procurement documentation, material inspections, and RMA processes.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and field inspection procedures.
