About the Opportunity
The Quality Assurance Engineer role is essential for ensuring the functionality, reliability, and usability of the company’s web and mobile applications. This position contributes by designing and executing both manual and automated tests, leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance testing workflows, and integrating tests into continuous integration pipelines. The role supports the organization’s growth by maintaining high-quality software that meets customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web and mobile applications.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, exploratory testing sessions, and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using TypeScript and Playwright.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and debugging.
- Build agentic testing workflows that auto-generate test scaffolding and self-heal selectors.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Document and track software defects using Jira and Zephyr or similar tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure comprehensive and timely test coverage.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and maintain clear test documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in building automated end-to-end tests with TypeScript and Playwright.
- Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Practical use of AI-assisted coding tools with the ability to validate AI output.
- Experience with API testing tools and backend database testing.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Familiarity with React and Flutter for application testing.
- Experience with Jira and test case management tools like Zephyr.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Pay
The salary range for this full-time position is $99,000 to $124,000 USD, plus equity and benefits. Variable pay, bonuses, and other cash compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
