Quality Assurance Engineer
Onsite position in Peoria, Illinois, USA.
About the Role
This position provides the Quality Assurance Manager and the Sr. Quality Assurance Engineers with data identifying emerging problems that are occurring at customer mine sites. Along with organized and documented data, you will recommend further action and manage the recall of all necessary parts. You will also recommend, develop, organize, and obtain approval for Field Campaigns (FC type), then present them to the Service Organization for implementation. Additional duties include preparing and sending failed parts to suppliers for analysis, following up with suppliers weekly (or more often) until failure analysis and root cause are provided.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Monthly Engineering Quality Meeting
- Work with cross-functional teams from other Komatsu locations
- Facilitate team meetings and own system projects
- Work closely with the Factory Campaign Coordinator for Autonomous Systems-related Factory Campaigns
- Participate in Evaluation Meetings and Design Reviews
- Perform Claims and Factory Campaign Cost Analysis
- Handle Claims Recovery
- Prepare Monthly Reporting
- Provide additional support to the Quality Assurance Manager as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree in Engineering (electrical and/or mechanical)
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or service is a positive attribute
- Knowledge of construction and mining equipment, preferably Komatsu products
- Familiarity with Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices, procedures, and industry standards
- Strong persuasive communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees
- Excellent presentation and writing skills
- Strong analytical skills (economics and analysis)
- Strong organizational skills
Pay
This role pays between $79,280 and $99,100. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
