Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

A Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated testing frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, etc.
• Execute test cases and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Identify and report bugs to developers for resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in QA or related roles.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, etc.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, etc.

Qualifications

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
• Understanding of security testing principles and techniques.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to find and fix complex bugs.
• Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.

Pay

$80,000 - $100,000 annually.
