Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary of Position

Performs additional assignments / duties as required by HOD

EHS: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Affirms that only PPAP approved products are delivered to the customer (including process changes, supplier changes, transfers, etc.)
• Affirms that all lessons learned (alerts, customer complaints, analyses, warranty evaluations, etc.) are respected within program phase and serial production
• Implements Internal Product, System and Process Audits
• Develops and implements quality system documentation and procedures
• IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Management representative
• Affirms IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements are implemented

Education/Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Software Skills Required

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experienced with ADP and SAP preferred
• Demonstrated skills in database maintenance and record keeping
• Strong understanding of HRIS

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist, and walk
• Required to use hands to type, handle objects and paperwork
• Required to reach and hold on to items at chest level or reach above the shoulder
• May be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Required to use close vision and be able to focus
• Ability to work extended hours as needed
• Ability to travel domestic US and/or international if needed
