Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Aviture is seeking an experienced quality assurance engineer to join a cross-functional software development team. Aviture delivers effective software solutions through an Agile mindset and a high degree of team empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Determine product quality and release readiness standards
• Create and manage automated test suites
• Research and analyze product features
• Elaborate user stories and associated acceptance criteria
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
• Create and execute test plans to discover bugs/quality issues
• Record and analyze test progress and results
• Work as a part of a cohesive team towards achieving Sprint goals
• Drive innovation and streamline the testing process
• Create company-wide guidance and policy concerning quality assurance
• Perform generalized tasks as needed

Requirements

• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Asthute understanding of the Agile manifesto and Scrum development framework
• Significant experience in creating and managing automated test suites
• Experience with Web, Web Service/API, and Mobile software applications testing
• Ability to cross-pollinate and instill a 'test infected' mindset
• Knowledge of current trends and advancements in software QA
• Strong communication skills, able to interact with both technical and non-technical resources
