About the Role
Uline is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join its Internet team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital applications that meet the company's standards for performance, reliability, and user experience. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in test automation frameworks, particularly using Playwright, to develop and maintain automated testing solutions across web, API, and mobile platforms. The Automation Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to embed testing practices into the development lifecycle, supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications utilizing Playwright, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to define best practices for test automation and to create effective test cases that enhance application reliability and performance.
- Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing, rapid feedback, and deployment cycles.
- Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Document automation frameworks, test cases, and results clearly, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for automation scripting and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in scripting and automation within QA Engineering, with at least two years specifically working with Playwright.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of SQL, API testing, version control systems like GIT, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
