About the Role

The Quality Assurance Dietitian serves as a leader in quality management and performance improvement initiatives to ensure excellence in clinical nutrition services, operations and food safety. This role conducts compliance and chart audits, provides technical support for electronic systems, and ensures adherence to federal, state, and organizational regulations. In addition, the position delivers medical nutrition therapy in the patient care setting, provides education, facilitates staff training and development, and serves as a resource to support departmental, system, and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality management and performance improvement initiatives for clinical nutrition services, operations, and food safety.
• Conduct compliance and chart audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Provide technical support for electronic systems related to nutrition services.
• Deliver medical nutrition therapy in patient care settings.
• Provide education and facilitate staff training and development.
• Serve as a resource to support departmental, system, and organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field of study.
• Licensed Dietitian by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• ServeSafe Certified or qualified equivalent.
• Four (4) years of work experience in Dietetics/Nutrition and/or healthcare food service operations.
