Quality Assurance Coordinator / Mesquite, TX

About the role

The Quality Assurance Lead supports the Quality Assurance team in developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality and reliability system for the organization's products and/or development processes. This role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
• Assists in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.
• Interacts with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
• Maintains close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others, proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
• Trains current and new members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of working in quality assurance
• 3-5 years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• SQF and HACCP certifications required

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, Sedex, and other software
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential
• Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
