Pay

$28.00 - $31.06 USD per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in child counseling, development or psychology, or related social science field, or nursing license (LVN, LPT, RN), or six (6) or more years of QA experience in a Mental Health Agency or County Behavioral Health Program (substituted as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree)
  • One (1) year residential care experience or equivalent inpatient psychiatric experience
  • One (1) year of quality assurance experience
  • Valid California Driver’s License with an eligible driving record per company policy
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • First Aid certification

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Quality Assurance Program, including auditing documentation to reconcile with billing
  • Ensure documentation of services by staff conforms with Medi-Cal, County, other outside agencies, and internal standards and policies
  • Manage all charts with deficiencies by processing them to the appropriate department for correction
  • Ensure discharged charts are closed in the correct order and completed
  • Oversee the Continuous Quality Assurance program, medical records, and record all CQI data

About the Program

The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours.

  • Population Served: All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate access to crisis mental health services
  • Clinical Services: Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention, providing important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization
  • Length of Stay: Up to 23 hours
  • Skills & Transition: Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community
