About the role

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations across the US. We provide vehicle services including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. We are currently seeking a Detailer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the quality of work done by each team member
  • Communicate with the detail line staff concerning quality and production goals
  • Identify vehicle quality that does not meet company standards
  • Identify the strengths of detailers to effectively create their assignments within the detail process
  • Ensure proper techniques and procedures are being implemented by team members
  • Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detail
  • Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition
  • Assist with shop cleaning and basic equipment maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Report all incidents to management immediately
  • Properly log the vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection
  • Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures per standards
  • Run inventory reports for the detail shop
  • Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately
  • Assist with other duties assigned by the designated manager

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year Detailing/Reconditioning experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
