Quality Assurance & Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and oversight of subcontractors and subordinates within the work group.
• Works with the Project Manager to provide leadership for QA/QC support activities for assigned programs or projects.
• Develops and implements QA/QC procedures, resource allocation, and training.
• Maintains communications with all project departments, clients, and subcontractors.
• Oversees inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
• Develops and maintains required project quality records and documentation.
• Maintains inspection and NCR logs.
• Reviews quality records/documents for correctness and completeness.
• Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and testing results and reports inspection, examination, and testing results.
• Evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel.
• Attends and documents inspections of subcontractor work.
• Oversees subcontractor inspections and reviews of subcontractor work.
• Reviews and audits subcontractor-generated quality records.
• Understands contract requirements and subcontractor contract requirements.
• Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field and typically 10+ years related construction experience or a High School/Trade School diploma and work experience of at least 15+ years is required, as well as previous management experience.
• ASQ CMQ or CMQ/OE preferred. Evidence of previous certification required.
• Additional years of education beyond the minimum requirement are considered equivalent to years of related work experience.
• Appropriate Quality Control Inspector Certification required within 12 months of employment.
• Experience overseeing procedures and/or activities in the following areas (or subjects): Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.

• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis, and retention of quality records.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.

Pay

$125,100.00 - $225,200.00
