QUALITY ASSURANCE CLAIMS SPECIALIST – REMOTE

About the Opportunity
The Quality Assurance Claims Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of FHA, VA, USDA, and supplemental mortgage claims prior to submission. This position supports the integrity of claim data and documentation, reduces errors, and contributes to process improvements that enhance the quality and timeliness of claim filings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of various mortgage claims before submission.
- Validate loan and policy data, claim calculations, reconciliations, and documentation completeness.
- Reconcile advances and confirm accuracy prior to filing claims.
- Ensure compliance with agency, investor, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information before claims are submitted.
- Maintain detailed records of QA reviews, findings, and daily production.
- Perform internal audits to verify quality standards are met.
- Analyze error trends to support training and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with claims processors, servicing teams, and leadership to address issues.
- Assist with system updates related to claim preparation.
- Support post-submission activities such as research for missing documentation or agency inquiries.
- Track and document QA results in internal systems.
- Manage assigned workflow queues and meet turnaround times.
- Perform research to resolve issues affecting claim accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data integrity standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in FHA, VA, USDA, and Supplemental foreclosure claims quality assurance or filing.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing practices and claims lifecycle.
- Familiarity with foreclosure processes and applicable guidelines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Pay
Compensation range: $22.45 to $37.69 hourly, varying based on qualifications and experience.
