Quality Assurance Assistant – Gainesville, FL
The Alachua County Housing Authority, Public Housing department is currently seeking an experienced, self-driven, innovative individual to join their team.
About the role
The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that public housing units are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. This includes conducting inspections, addressing maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and special inspections of public housing units to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Address and document maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, and structural problems.
- Work closely with residents to resolve complaints and provide assistance in maintaining their living spaces.
- Document findings from inspections and submit reports to management.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in public housing quality assurance or similar field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of housing laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with housing management software.
