Quality Assurance Applications Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Aid CNC Machinists with onboarding of new parts and projects
• Aid CMM programmers with program creation and onboarding of new parts and projects
• Troubleshoot machining related issues
• Evaluate and rework non-conforming product
• Interpret measurement results and make appropriate process adjustments
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure precise machining operations
• Conduct quality inspections of machined parts to verify conformance to customer requirements and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members and engineering staff to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of various machining techniques and tooling
• In depth understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machines
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solidworks) preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to provide leadership and work in a team-oriented environment
• Train operators and help troubleshoot
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
