Responsibilities
- Monitor welding procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, or AWS.
- Able to identify issues such as improper welding techniques, material defects, or insufficient weld penetration.
- Visually inspect the welds and fusions on fittings and joints and verify adherence to all manufacturer and client procedures.
- Maintain a three level of inspection process.
- Conduct daily observations to ensure that all three levels of inspection are undertaken and documented.
- Examine the work area to ensure all required work has been completed and is in compliance with contract requirements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure that rework items are corrected.
- Participate in company strategic planning efforts.
- Perform internal quality inspections and participate in IOR inspections.
- Review and approve submittals for compliance with subcontract documents.
- Create quality management plans for specialized projects.
- Schedule and conduct pre-installation conferences.
- Supervise testing agencies and maintain records to ensure testing is performed according to ASTM standards.
- Verify materials meet contract-specific requirements.
- Attend and chair Contractor Quality weekly meetings.
- Oversee daily and weekly QC/QA reports that reinforce activities being constructed in accordance with established standards.

- Attend prestart and safety meetings and contribute.
- Have working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and AIA guidelines as applicable to design and construction field.
- Perform other related duties as needed and assigned by the Manager in support of the successful completion of the project.
Qualifications
- A graduate of a four-year accredited college or university program in engineering, architecture, construction management, engineering technology, building construction, or building science; related field or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- 5 years of large project and construction management experience preferred with strong results in meeting deadlines and cost requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards and best practices.
- Computer skills using Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office, Smartsheet, ACC, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 Field.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for industrial construction, with a preference for semiconductor industrial experience.
- Experience with interpreting and enforcing contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.

Physical Requirements
- May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
- Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects.
- The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts.
- Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator.
- Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment.
- Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.
