About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Tester with a strong background in both manual and automated testing to join our performance-driven team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of our software solutions. This role involves regression testing, API testing, and collaborating closely with developers to identify and resolve issues before product release. The position offers the flexibility of remote work primarily, with the requirement to be based in Florida and available to visit the office on the first day.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience in a professional setting
  • At least 3 years of experience in test automation
  • Proficiency with Quality Management Software and processes
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using REST assured libraries
  • Strong coding skills in Java, with experience in designing, debugging, and maintaining automated scripts
  • Fundamental understanding of software design, development, and architecture
  • Knowledge of Web Standards, Accessibility Standards, and browser compatibility
  • Fundamental understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) principles
  • Experience working in deadline-driven environments
  • Excellent organizational, logical, and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git
  • Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of MySQL, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, JSON, and API integration tools like POSTMAN and SOAP UI

Responsibilities

  • Support regression testing for existing websites and applications to ensure ongoing stability and performance
  • Create comprehensive end-to-end test plans for projects, execute them, and manage all associated activities to meet project objectives
  • Test applications for functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility across different systems and browsers
  • Ensure all features and phases of the software are thoroughly tested, and identify, document, and resolve issues proactively
  • Develop, update, and maintain automated test scripts using existing frameworks and tools as requirements evolve
  • Assist and mentor QA team members in test automation efforts to improve overall testing efficiency
  • Analyze requirements to produce both manual and automated test cases
  • Balance automation and manual testing tasks based on project needs
  • Review bug fixes and system enhancements to verify expected results and functionality
  • Collaborate with developers to provide continuous feedback for iterative improvement
  • Estimate testing efforts, set realistic deadlines, and track progress to ensure timely delivery
  • Perform additional support tasks as required to maintain high-quality standards
