Job Duties
- Test Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Execution: Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution using standard bug-tracking tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all IT projects meet departmental standards and performance benchmarks before deployment.
- Reporting: Provide detailed status reports on testing progress, results, and overall product quality.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Jira) and SQL for backend data verification.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify edge cases and potential system failures.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting technical reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related IT field.

Additional Information
- This is a temporary grant-funded position ending in November 2027.
- This individual must reside in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) by their confirmed start date.
- Possibility of preference for individuals residing in New York City (5 boroughs) or surrounding New York State counties.
- This individual will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies.
